Corny Valentines

Didn't you love Valentine's Day in school? You made a little mailbox, and all of the students stuffed the boxes with the corniest Valentine's cards! Tending to the heart is of the utmost importance right now! When we were kids it was paper valentines, but as quilters, it's Corny Fabric!!!

Corn dextrin is one of my favorite resists. Easy to work with and rinse out, with lots of flexible application techniques.

I will supply the fabric, Hot Pink, Watermelon andCoral dye, all dextrin, paint thickener, detergent, gloves and dust mask.
*There will also be a surprise for you in this package. Just in case your Valentine needs it!

Student Supply List

Can of temporary spray adhesive. (Cindy likes 505 but any brand that is odorless, colorless, non-staining, and acid free will work.)
Roll of freezer paper
Parchment Paper
Masking Tape
Ordinary Dawn Detergent
Spray bottle
Stencils that make your heart sing! I'm working on a coupon for us for my favorite source https://www.stencilgirlproducts.com, but there are also many on Etsy.com and at your local craft stores. *We will also discuss ways to make your own stencils, but this will be a light section.

Optional

Inktense or Prisma coloring pencils for embellishments later!
This is a great technique for over-dyeing fabrics that you may have previously dyed but were a little blah, or light.
