This Private fabric dyeing class is for the Quilters of Alachua in Gainesville, Florida, - ONLY

We will make a 24 Fat Eighth Rainbow of bright tone on tone, mottled hand dyed fabric. Along with the basics of dyeing, we will learn about mixing color as we walk our way around the color wheel.

3 yards high quality "pfd" fabric
Hot Pink, Sunny Yellow and Turquoise Blue dye
All the fixatives and detergent
Gloves and Mask
Mini Mixing Cups 
Dye Droppers

Student Supply List
You will need a small bucket or bin with fresh water - 1 gallon 
A second bucket or plastic bin with 1 gallon water for the soda ash.
3 plastic spoons
3 disposable plastic mixing cups - (I use 16 ounce deli cups. anything will work as long as it holds at least 16 ounces. Remember, if you borrow from the kitchen for dye projects, you cannot take it back for kitchen use!) 
A permanent marking pen
Craft scissors
Garbage bag 
Roll of Paper Towels
I work right on a plastic table, and clean up later, but you may want to put an open garbage bag down - taped tightly in place. 
Remember, these dyes clean up well with a light bleach spray.
